Welcome to the Gorbals Celtic Supporters Club home page. The Gorbals CSC is a newly formed Supporters Club situated in Annies Bar in the Top Of The Hill area of Derry. We have approximately 40 members with the books closed at that. We have been to various matches this season and plan plenty more trips throughout the year.
Our first match of the season was the friendly match with Bray Wanderers when we took a full bus to the match for the weekend. A great time was had by all that day with Tommy Johnson scoring a hat-trick. Our first trip to Glasgow was for the Dundee match on the 23rd September with Petrov scoring the winning goal in a 1-0 win. We have a four man committee made up of Gary Fleming, Mark Concannon, Gerry McLaughlin, and Kevin McHugh. We hold a weekly meeting which is held upstairs in the bar every Wednesday night were we discuss various topics after which we hold a draw with the winner receiving £50. |
NEXT MATCH WE ARE ATTENDING
The next game our club will be attendind is the home game against Hearts on the 18th November when we again take a party of 40 to the match.Due to the fact that we are still in our first year of existence it was great to be recently affliated with the 32 county association where we will receive more information and more contacts. Already this year we have attended the annual AGM in Waterford as well as the meeting with Allan McDonald in Dublin which they found very informative. |
